Where Do We Begin?
There are so many thoughts that pass through my mind as I write this blog. I’m grateful to have the time to get back to blogging, refocus, spend time with my family, and make plans for the future. I always tried to stay consistent with these things, but the world looks a little different now than before.
As a business owner, mom, and wife to an essential worker, things changed suddenly in March. We didn’t know to what capacity but, we very much knew we needed to stay calm, strategize each day, and work together as a family with all decisions. We didn’t fully anticipate the length of time we would need to plan for. It turns out, there is no planning in a global pandemic. One thing I have learned in this circumstance, focusing on the now is all you can do. What can we do today and today only?
Just like many people, I went through many emotions. One day I was a martyr for my small business, and the next day I was a homeschool teacher. Some days, I was the ear to sympathize with my brides. While other days I was a wife, worrying about my husband working in the ER. Most days, I was all of the above.
Beauty Entourage Then & Now
In my 15 years of business as a woman, I have had to overcome many hurdles. It has allowed me to see opportunities in times of hardships and grow in times of challenges that have made me view the world a little bit differently each time. It is within my failures that I have succeeded most. It has allowed me to build a company that services over 700 brides a year. 2020 was a year we worked so hard towards accomplishing our goals as a company. We completed new technology, additional client perks, signed more artists, and created more jobs. Alongside these goals, we also built a brand new headquarters, expanded into renting space for independent artists, and preparing for national expansion.
Although our business halted due to COVID 19, I am hopeful for the future. I have learned invaluable lessons through an eye-opening experience that will grow our company in ways of leadership, relationships, and community. Together, we will all overcome.
The Journey Continues….
Thank you for being apart of our company journey and my personal/professional life. I am not just a founder of business but, a person, a woman.. a mom.. a wife, a daughter, and a friend. I cherish all of your stories and relate. I am so excited to get back to doing what we love and being apart of your memories once again.
